Atlas of Ophthalmology

A young boy sustained perforating eye injury with a glass. He presented with collapsed anterior chamber, hyphaema and exposed ciliary body. Laceration involving corneal and scleral was repaired. Traumatic cataract was replaced with intraocular lens. He was seen several times in the next three months after the operation. Examination four months after the initial repair revealed a transparent piece of glass which was probably behind the iris and later on gravitated to the bottom of anterior chamber.
